Ford Motor Company makes good products. The independent dealers that sell Ford Motor Company products are responsible for the perceived reputation that Ford Motor Company has.
Why do people put up with this kind of treatment? Why do car companies allow their dealers to keep doing this? Why do legislators not regulate this bad behavior? Why doesn't the justice system put a stop to this unethical and immoral behavior? Why don't auto dealerships treat their customers with respect and fairness? Why does the justice system continue to let these automotive dealers intimidate their customers?
THANK YOU, to all the people that used the "Your Opinion" input area below, to tell how they got tricked. Your inputs are appreciated and will be used.
IT IS NOT LEGAL FOR AN AUTO DEALER TO RUN A CREDIT CHECK ON CUSTOMERS WITHOUT THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND APPROVAL!! DO NOT GIVE YOUR DRIVER"S LICENSE TO A CAR SALESMAN, LIKE I DID. You can sue them for this behavior.
Most people NEVER check an auto dealership's reputation BEFORE they get taken advantage of.
On 11-29-2011, "Is this a good business plan? Trying to hide the facts and get people to just sign anything? How's that working for you? They asked me to sign a BLANK piece of paper with THEIR sales price on it, which was a lot higher than they agreed. I guess its still true what they say about car salesman.
NOBODY IS LISTENING, poor Jennifer got treated bad on 01/24/2012..................................AFTER this website was available:
Their sales staff yesterday used bait and switch to act in bad faith. I had an agreed price of $13,383.00 when we showed up, it was now $16,000+. The car online was intentionally misrepresented. It had a description of a automatic transmission as did the sticker posted online. I have contacted the BBB and now I am contacting the Texas Attorney General. No surprise that a car dealer is continuing the tradition of the least trusted profession in the US. This is what the web ad stated

I was told that this car had a manual, then I was told by the manager that it was not even on the property! I then offered to wait until it got there but then the manager said that I can that car but not at the advertised price. This is fraud and they are dishonest, you have been warned!

My Review of Randall Reed's Planet Ford:
Bait and switch. Dishonest sales staff, a great reason to buy elsewhere! Crooks! Simple dishonest sales techniques. I tried to make things right with the "Manager" and I could not do it. The web ad said this vehicle for tis amount, when I showed up to buy it, whoops, that was a manual Fiesta not automatic, we cannot sell you that car for that amount. I was told that there is a disclaimer but this sales team uses that often to up sell poor fools that call there. I am contacting the Attorney General as well as the BBB. The sales team at Randal Reed Ford in Humble are crooks. Verifiable crooks.
The sales people at Randall Reed Ford…
Provided by YP.comWorst car buying experience I have ever encountered! Lo-ballers get you in and try to rip you off. Mr. Cramer the manger has zero integrity in my opinion and that runs down hill to the sales staff. I feel sorry for all the staff. Why do you advertise no-haggle inter-net price if you are un-willing to sell it for that price.
They did ever thing possible not to sell this car. This is the just the short version of my awful experience with this dealership. I will expand in detail later. I hope this will deter any one else from doing business with Randall Reed Ford. Do yourself a favor and steer clear. My ordeal is over yours may have just begun. I only hope ever customer they lie to will take the time to post. Buyer Beware!

Shame on Randall Reed Ford in Humble Texas, trying to slip in hidden charges and cheat customers. I sent email to the Manager, and then talked to the Sales Manager, the next day and he agreed they have problems. Their customers that are paying attention are wise to their inflating the drive out final cost and walk away. Their "Customer Benefits Package" may added to the bottom line without the customers knowledge or consent. The internet salesmen are especially unethical and have no business working at any place that values their reputation. They write in all sorts of imaginary charges on the Retail Purchase Agreement and will not explain why they are there. They agree to a sales price and then add charges to the bottom line and try to pressure the customer to sign.
Since Randall Reed Ford in Humble Texas has such horrible employees and managers that will not explain or give a break down of all the charges on the sales contract before asking the customer to sign, someone at the corporate level should make some personnel changes.
Mr. (MANAGER), 11-29-2011
Your employees do not stick to there agreements and try to defraud customers. I drove 100 miles all the way from Katy to your Humble store only to be lied to and was being pressured to pay a hidden charge of about $1200 more than agreed. Someone over there should be fired. Your staff is awful. ALL these guys made me a promise to sell me : VIN # 3FAHP0HA7CR224386 for a competitive matched price of $18595 +$295 +TTL including adding backup sensors. ALL three of the bad internet salesmen above swore to me, on the phone, and in email before I drove 100 miles, that we had a deal and that there would be no further price discussion. Before I went to the dealership, I called the main number after the internet salesmen said it was a deal in an email, at $18890, and they agreed they would include the additional backup sensors and I asked to speak to the Sales Manager to confirm the deal. The sales manager confirmed the deal.
When I got there and sat down with the internet salesman, he started with a 18755 price? and then said the TTL + documentation fee of 149 total additional would be $2651 (should have been closer to $1487), and wanted me to sign a piece of paper agreeing with a total of $21406. He got upset when I ask him how he got the additional $2651 and he said "That was the deal". I told him to show me how he got that $2651 and he said I would see it on the papers when they were drawn up after I signed his paper. They tried to add on and hide the additional $1164 saying it was standard fees!! They knew that they were going to try to pull this trick on me before I ever left home.
I went to the Manager in the main building to talk to the manager on duty. The sales manager did the same thing, He knew this was a scam and would not give me a break down of the TTL and other charges making up the $2651 add on. The other four supervisory employees sitting at the desk with sales manager were smiling and grinning and chuckling. They all knew this was standard practice of cheating their customers. I wonder how they would feel when they get treated the same way. Shame on Randall Reed Ford in Humble Texas. Is this what you want your dealerships known for?

Crooks. Just plain crooks. In fact, they pretty much embody all that is bad about buying a car. Apparently nothing has changed since they were kicked out of the BBB in 2001 because of the number of complaints.
So my experience happened this last weekend. We received a letter in the mail from Randall Reed's Planet Ford on 59 stating that we would get a $50 gift card to one of our choice of eight potential retailers if we came in to test drive one of their cars.
We are looking to either buy or lease a car, and this was our first day of going to search for the right car. We stopped in and referenced this card the moment we got there. The salesman said that he would get that done right after we were done doing the test drive. We test drove a car, talked to him some more, and then went inside to get the gift card that we were offered.
At that point, a sales manager came out (typical car sales technique) to try to close us right then, to ask us if there is anything they could do to get us in a new car that day. We said that we were just browsing for now, but would be interested in buying some time in the near future.
Only then did the salesman go up to the sales desk at the front of the showroom and come back with the sad news that they had run out of gift cards.
The flat out truth is that either there never was a gift card, or they didn't feel like giving us one because they had already qualified us to figure out that we weren't going to buy that day. Con-Artists. I will never go back to their crooked dealership.
BE AWARE, THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.
